Yesterday while we were at the Valgardsons for dinner, Tyler asked if he could show Josh how to go down the stairs in a sleeping bag. He said that he did it all the time as a kid and that it was super fun. I told him that would be fine as long as he didn't remind Josh that we have stairs and a sleeping bag at our house too. So Tyler got a sleeping bag and showed Josh how it was done. Josh was fascinated and wanted to try it. Tyler helped him the first few times and then Josh took over. He slid down the stairs and then ran back up countless times. He was sweating like crazy. One time after he had just finished climbing the stairs he said "Mom? Do you know your letting your son have the best day ever?!"

Banana Bread
I had 5 old bananas and 2 banana bread recipes. Not sure which recipe was better I decided to make them both. As soon as Josh could smell the bread cooking he started hounding me for a piece. 20 minutes later, I cut him a slice and he ate it. He said it was great and asked for another piece. He then asked for a third piece but I told him that I had a different banana bread recipe that I wanted him to try. So when that loaf finally came out of the oven and cooled down, I handed a piece to Josh. He took a bite and said "Mmmm...tender....sweet....and DELICIOUS! I totally like this one the best!" I guess we have our winner.
Vocabulary
Heeoucheese
Josh: "Mom, do you know what Heeoucheese means?"
Me: "Nope. What does it mean?"
Josh: "When you hit your elbow you say Heeoucheese. And plus I just learned this from my brain. It's just a new Spanish word. So when you hit your elbow you say Heeoucheese and that's saying 'Ouch' in Chinese."
Me: "Wait, I thought it was Spanish?"
Josh: "Oh yeah, Spanish. I get those two mixed up sometimes."
