The last time I posted was in March?!  That's terrible.  Believe it or not, Josh is still alive and well.  I've just been a slacker and haven't posted anything.  Here are some random Josh quotes and stories to help catch you up.

Last week Huds asked Josh to read him the "Frozen" book that I have.  All was going well and they reached the end where there are pictures of all the characters.  Josh  had Huds name all the characters, which he did perfectly, but instead of stopping, he kept asking him to repeat them, especially Kristoff.  After Huds repeated it more than a handful of times, Josh  turns to me and says, "I like it when he says Kristoff....because it sounds like pissed off!"

We were having hamburgers for dinner during the summer and the buns were from the local bakery and were not precut.  I asked Josh if he wanted a knife and he said "Nope. I just pry it open.  That's how MEN do it."

While camping at Yuba, Josh  saw Mike's deodorant and said "Is this dads?" I said yes and after smelling it he replied "Mmmm...it smells like onion.  I bet the fish are going to like that!"

One morning at breakfast we were talking about syrup and Josh was asking where it came from.  Thinking that if he heard the right answer he would know, I gave him two options saying "syrup comes from either oaks or maples." Josh then said "I'm going to say oaks because that's what we have a lot of around here."

One day Mike and I were talking about our heritage/skin color and I said "I'm brown and your white" to which Josh pipes up and says "and that makes me tan!

Mike had come home from work super tired one day and had fallen asleep on the couch.  Josh  said "One day I'll be a good sleeper like dad.  Once he's asleep he can sleep for a long time."

Last week we went to a Halloween store to see if there was anything that Mike wanted to use to decorate his office.  As soon as we got out of the car, Josh grabbed my hand.  As we started walking through the store, his grip got tighter and tighter.  By the time we were halfway through the store there were tears threatening to spill out of his eyes.  We hadn't even reached the scary costumes yet!  A minute later I glanced down and he was crying.  I asked if he wanted to wait out in the truck and he said yes.  I handed him the keys and he just looks at me and says 'but I don't want to go by myself!'  I ended up walking him out of the store holding his hand and covering his eyes.  It reminded me of the days when he wouldn't even want to go into a grocery store because the decorations were too scary for him.

This year for Halloween he has decided to be a student from Gryffindor.  We bought him a cape and then I helped him make his own wand.  He's super excited.  Mike is going to be the Hulk and is pretty creepy looking from a distance.  He bought some hulk hands and has enjoyed getting into boxing matches with me.  This torments Gideon to no end and he starts barking and jumping around until Mike leaves me alone.

Two Sundays ago our family was asked to speak in Sacrament meeting on the 10th Article of Faith.  Josh did an excellent job.  He recited the Article of Faith from memory and then proceeded to speak on it without even looking at the notes that he wrote.  He even added things in that weren't in his notes about Israel's name being changed and what the word tribes mean.  It was so neat to listen to him and to see how grown up he has gotten.

A few weeks ago we went and saw the play "A Fisherman and His Wife" at BYU.  Josh  LOVES plays.  We had a great time.

Josh got an awesome surprise in the mail from his Aunt Kat.  It was a rat.  He had to bring it to dinner with us and had a great time feeding it french fries.
