Random Pictures

Josh playing 'Winter Wipeout' in our backyard.

Warming his feet up after playing outside in the snow.

Random school paper he insisted we hang on his door.

These are pictures he drew before we moved.  That's me vacuuming, and him carrying some boxes to help me pack.

Josh and Lynds watching tv together.

Mike and Lynds playing Zuma.  She loves Mike.

Dirt

Our neighbors are putting in their yard and had 4 or 5 loads of dirt delivered last week.  Josh has been in heaven.  He LOVES it.  He's even started getting his homework done faster so that he has time to go and play in the dirt before dinner.  I told him at the beginning that I didn't care if he played in the dirt but that if he did, he HAD to take a shower that night.  No if's, and's, or but's about it.  Turns out, he had plenty of if's, and's, and but's.  What a stink.  He fights me about it every time even though I'll remind him before he heads out to play, that if he gets in the dirt that means he needs to take a shower.  One time when he was arguing with me, he said "But Mom, I only got dirty from here(pointing to his waist) down.  And I can just take my clothes off and then I don't need to take a shower."  He still took a shower.  Here's a picture of him playing on the dirt hill with our neighbor Oakley.

Why We Call it Fast Sunday

As soon as we got to church, Josh asked to see the program.  He studied it for a minute and then said "Look mom.  It's going to be a quick one today."  He then read the whole program to me to show me that there weren't very many things listed.  He then said "See, look how short it is.  That's why they call it FAST Sunday!"

On a side note, Mike taught Josh how to peel apart a gum wrapper and then stick it onto paper.  This is Josh's first try at doing it all by himself.  He thought it was hilarious that he covered up part of the program so that I couldn't read it.

Testimony

Sunday during Sacrament meeting, Josh suddenly announces "I'm going to do it."  He then scoots forward on the bench and gets ready to spring up.  It took me a minute to realize he meant that he was going to bear his testimony.  He heads up there and waits his turn while I'm silently wondering what is going to come out of his mouth.

"I'd like to bear my testimony, I know the church is true.  And I know that if we pray that Jesus will answer our prayers. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen."

I was so proud of him.
