Sport Replays

Josh just finished another season of soccer and I couldn't be happier.  I admit that he has 'improved' but that is all relative.  He still spends most of his time dancing around on the field and staring off into space.  He has kicked it more this year than ever before but I use the word 'kick' very loosely.  It's a mix between a hop, skip and a kick and usually ends with him laying on the ground.  His coach this year did a good job of trying to get the kids to play the proper positions and Josh spent most of his time as defender.  Defender is the one position that none of the kids wanted so I couldn't figure out why Josh was always put there.  He finally admitted that he always asked his coach to put him there.  Go figure.  After I told him that was not acceptable and that he needed to go where ever the coach put him, he rotated through the positions pretty evenly.
One of my biggest complaints about watching non-televised sporting events is the lack of replays.  I always seem to be one second too late to see the big plays.  However, Josh has unknowingly solved this problem for me.  You see, when Josh is goalie, he does his own instant replays.  As soon as the play is over he'll reenact the moves that he just did, in slow motion even, exactly how it happened the first time.  Never mind that there is still a game going on and sometimes, right in front of his own goal.  His poor coach, trying to get him to focus when he's in the middle of a replay just doesn't work out so well.  Anyway, our next adventure is....tennis!
