Church

Two weeks ago Mike, Josh and I were asked to speak in church.  The topic was James 1:22. 'Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only.'  We had two weeks to prepare and I was stressing out.  Josh, however, never thought twice about it.  I gave him the idea to use the story of the wise man and the foolish man and he took it from there.  I had him explain to me what it meant and how it related to the topic scripture, and then we jotted down a few major keywords to help him remember what to say.  I had him practice it everyday for the 4 days leading up to the talk, and he did great.  Sunday came and he was the first one to speak.  Without any hesitation he got his notes and walked right up to the microphone.  He gave a wonderful talk.  He did have to pause twice to cough into his elbow, which he brought right in front of the microphone, but hey, no ones perfect.  Mike and I then gave our talks and they were okay.  I was just so impressed that my 6 year old could put his own talk together and present it in front of so many people without being nervous or shy. He's pretty amazing.
