Happy Birthday!

You know that Primary song, "..One year older and wiser too..?" Well, Josh takes that literally.  All day long he would do something or say something and then follow it up with "I know that because I'm 7 now" or "Now that I'm 7 I can do ____ all by myself."  Yeah right.  However, I must admit that I did encourage this thinking in the hopes that he would gain more confidence in his ability to do things by himself.
Jake and Jen have been staying with us for a few days while they search for an apartment.  It has been a lot of fun for us.  Josh has LOVED it.  The first thing he says in the morning is "Are Jake and Jen here?"  And then all day long all I hear are comments about Jake and Jen. "Shouldn't they be home by now?  How come they're not home yet?  Did they go to do errands?  I think they should be home now."  He sounded worse than an overbearing parent. For his birthday they gave him a caramel covered apple. He still talks about it.
I decided to start a new tradition this year and put a dollar bill inside 7 different balloons that he could pop with a pin.  He had a blast.  I liked that he had to jump for them.  One of the balloons popped and then stuck to the wall.  This caused him great happiness and was shown to everyone who stopped by.

I also made him a BeyBlade pinata but never got around to taking pictures of it.
