Program
Josh has been learning songs for this end of year program all year long. A couple months ago he came home and asked me if I knew the song from "A Land Before Time", "If We Hold On Together." After I convinced him that I really did know the song he told me he was learning it for his program. He said that they almost made one of the second grade teachers cry because they sang it so good. He then added "I bet you're going to cry when I sing it." I just laughed it off. Why would I cry? The day of the program arrived and Josh was so excited that I was watching Lynds that day, so that she could see his program too. She was a crack up. She would start clapping before the song was over and say "Yeah!" It was pretty cute. They sang a lot of songs and I was so impressed with how well Josh did. He sang EVERY SONG! I was shocked! He did such an amazing job though, and I was so proud of him. He even had a line that he had to say in the microphone and he said it perfectly. I didn't even know he had a speaking part. I enjoyed the program and didn't think much about Josh's comment that I would cry. Then they sang the last song..."If We Hold On Together." I didn't stand a chance. As soon as I heard the first few notes, my eyes started tearing up. I couldn't help it! I looked at Josh and he immediately broke into a HUGE grin! I laughed but even that didn't stop the tears from coming. It was worth it though, just to see the look of triumph on Josh's face. Here are some pics from that day.
Josh wanted a turn with the camera so I let him take a picture of Lynds and I. He did pretty good.
