Twinkly Happy Hollidays 2

I noticed that Josh would often ask us to play wii games and watch movies together.  I thought it was his way of sneaking in more screen time but after a while I started to wonder if that was really his motive or not.  So I read the book  "The Five Love Languages of Children" in the hopes of understanding him just a little bit better.  Turns out, quality time is Josh's main love language.  His scores were:

Quality Time: 6
Words of Affirmation: 5
Gifts: 5
Acts of Service: 2
Physical Touch: 2

Before I had him take the test, I asked him if he knew that I loved him.  He said yes and I asked how he knew.  He said "Because you do things for me like get me clothes, make my lunch, and help me with homework.  There's other stuff but I don't remember right now."

I then asked him if he knew that Mike loved him and how he knew that.  He said "Because he does things with me like boys night out.  And sometimes when I'm bored he thinks of fun things that we can do like play Mario Kart."

We had a FHE about journal keeping and Mike talked about how pictures can tell stories too.  Josh loved looking at all of his drawings and was so impressed.  It was so sweet to see him looking up at Mike with all the love and admiration he had for him.

Here's Huds helping me count the sugar cookies.
