Silver Lining

I've never been one to look for the silver lining or to see the glass half full.  Josh however, is.  Here are some examples.

Me: Josh, you didn't get to go to recess?  That's terrible.
Josh: It's ok.  I still got to go to lunch recess.

Me: I'm sorry but you don't get to play the wii today.
Josh: But I can play it tomorrow right?
The next time I told him he couldn't play it for the rest of the week.
Josh: But I can play it on Monday, right?

Me: Josh, I can't believe that you got so many 2's and 3's during school. (On a scale of 1-5 with 1 being the worst)
Josh: Yeah but I got a 5!

Me: Josh, you need to do your best this soccer season otherwise I won't let you play.  Remember last year, how you just goofed the whole time?
Josh: But one time I was running by the goal and I kicked it in.

Seriously?  I have no idea what to do with him.
