Mud Hole
Josh and Bode were looking for something to do. They wouldn't agree on anything and I threatened that if they didn't decided by the time I counted to five, I would decide for them. Unfortunately they liked that idea. As I was racking my brain for an idea, my eyes landed on our front yard. Perfect! I told them they had to dig a hole. I chatted with Bode's mom as the boys got to work. Slowly, other mom's from the neighborhood brought their kids over to dig too and we all sat around chatting. After a while, Josh started filling the hole with mud. I made sure the other mom's knew but I was completely fine with it. It seemed as though they were too. We continued our chat. I glanced over every 2-3 minutes just to check and the boys were having a great time. By now, there were a total of 7 boys. After about an hour, I noticed that one boy has his pants and diaper down around his knees. Someone quickly grabbed him and took him home. The next time I looked over, another boy was pulling his pants down. I told his mom and she yelled over to tell him to stop. Unfortunately, he decided not to listen. When I looked over again, he was 'contributing' some liquid to their mud hole. I yelled and made all the kids stand up and move away from the mud hole. Two of the moms, took their kids and had them go play in their own yard. The peeing boy stayed. We let them make another mud hole in Bode's yard but it didn't last very long. We decided it was time they cleaned up. As Bode's mom was spraying them down with the hose, Bode suddenly started yelling. At first we couldn't figure out what he was saying, we only knew that he did NOT want to be cleaned. After a few minutes we were able to understand what he was trying to tell us. "But I'm a mud ninja! I don't want to be a fool, I want to be a mud ninja!" We never did quite figure out how the 'fool' part fit in, but needless to say, he was stripped of his costume...literally. Poor guy.
