Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs are still ALIVE!!  Yes, we witnessed it with our own two eyes this past week at the local zoo.  Josh was kind enough to point out which of the dinosaurs roaming the zoo were real and which were, in fact, fake.

This dinosaur is fake because...

...it shoots water out of it's mouth.

And although this dinosaur is fake...

...Josh would not put his head or any other part of his body near the dinosaurs mouth. I don't think Mike's play acting helped encourage him either.  

The rest of the dinosaurs you'll see are very real.

The dinosaurs weren't the scariest part of the trip for Josh's Uncle Ben.

The whole trip wasn't gloom and doom though.  There were a couple highlights.  The gorilla was very entertaining.  We loved watching it slam it's plastic lids against the glass and pound it's chest.

The elephant was fun to climb on.  Watch out for its sneeze.

The horses weren't so bad either.

He did enjoy pretending to be a turtle, for about 3 seconds.

And at last, the Carousel.  Amanda was kind enough to escort Josh since he was a little nervous to ride by himself.  The first round he chose a safe, stationary peacock.

 After getting his nerves out of the way, he went all out by choosing a ....

....Penquin?  That's my boy!!
